Score : 91+ points From an outstanding terroir (shallow limestone, high altitude, windy exposition), the 2015 Pinot Noir Strangenberg offers a clear, fresh and spicy bouquet of frozen sour cherries and wild berries along with spicy flavors. Silky textured, with power and tension, this is a very elegant and intense Pinot with density and finesse, as well as a long and aromatic finish with some cacao and clove flavors. This is a very promising wine with grip, freshness and tension. The finish is pretty long and complex. This wine is based on perfectly ripe grapes. The must was fermented with 100% of the stems in fiberglass boxed with manual punch-downs, then aged in barriques (20% new). The wine has been bottled in August unfined and unfiltered.
